According to research, it shows that communication is more important than personality traits, commitment levels, or stress in predicting which couples will stay happy. In order to achieve a happy relationship you should be open to communicate even in conflict. Avoid being on your phone or laptop all day and be open to one another.

Manners are key – even with the person you’ve been with for years. Like saying please and thank you. It goes a long way. You should be just as respectful to your partner as you would to a visitor. Tell your partner that he/she looks great today. A few manners will go a long way to maintaining a culture of mutual respect.
